Clara Bow was born on July 29,1905 in Brooklyn New York. Her parents were Robert Bow and Sarah Gordon. Clara's mother was mentally ill and she abused Clara emotionally and physically throughout her childhood. Clara didn't interact with many girls, she mostly associated with the opposite sex. She played football and baseball. A result of hanging out with mostly boys she was not a good student and decided to drop out of school in the 8th grade. Clara got a secretary job after dropping out. Also, by 1926 she had starred in more than 40 motion picture films, usually playing the role of a flapper. During her acting career she met a cowboy actor named George Beldan. They married in 1931 and settled in Nevada. They didn't wait long after to have children. They had 2 sons and lived a happy life. On September 27, 1965 Clara died.
